My first ride was a homemade mini bike that a buddy & I built in the basement from spare parts and other 'liberated' bits.
My first ride was on a kit bike which was probably somewhat similar. I went right into a pile of rocks after discovering that the throttle cable stuck, and then discovered that the only way to shut off the revving engine was to pull the spark plug cap (NOT rubber covered) off. Oh yeah, and the brakes either didn't work or weren't as powerful as the B&S motor that powered the thing, because I had a death grip on them. Fun times.
My current ride is a 1999 Honda VTR1000 that I use for commuting, back road strafing and occasional weekend tours.
Nice bike, as bad on gas as people claim?
I have been seen chowing down on red wine and calamari at the Casa Dominica on Princess St or quaffing the Guinness at Chez Piggies. I have family in the Kingston area (My dad is from Sydenham).
I don't get to the pig much... I prefer the Brew Pub. But I can't fault your choices!
Almonte is just 90 entertaining kilometers from Kingston (via Westport/Maberly/Elphin/Lanark) so I would be interested joining up with some new faces to explore fresh pavement (here or there).
I'm sure many of us have been there, or will be this year. Hornet's never been to Calabogie yet... for shame...! Maybe we can meet up some time in Westport or something... although I know some folks in Trenton who ride to Kingston to get in on a good trip, and #10 is an entertaining ride.

Squids need not apply.
Everyone has a different definition of this... what's yours?
(saw a guy in Daytona wearing a thong bikini and flip-flops, no helmet or gloves on a GSX-R 600 once)
Nice to see you here. Hope we meet soon.
