That was good for the soul.  Best of all... I got home in time to schmooze with the in-laws a little.  So it was all good.

Was a great day for a ride!

Is there anyone is this forum who rides a street/cruise bike (ie, not a 150km on a curve sport bike)?

A bunch of them.  Al & John you've already met, most of the better riders around town will cut loose from time to time, though...  I don't know if they are doing the meetings this late in the year but I'd be happy to introduce you to some of the other local riders who prefer a more relaxed pace.  If the weather is good Saturday morning you can meet me at Tim's around 9:30am and I'll ride over with you to that group and introduce you.

No shortage of good people on bikes around Kingston.

FYI, it being the end of the season I think a few of us (*cough*) are a little rambunctious to make the most of the last few rides, too...

My partner and I like to do the slower tour thing too... However thanks to a pick up truck I am out of commission for the season and she doesn't go out by herself very often.
Hopefully the torn tendons in my knee (thanks to the truck taking me out) won't preclude me from getting a lot of good miles on the bike next season.

heh....I was wondering why this post kept showing new replies but I couldn't see them?....till I noticed the tab for next page....I love being a computer super genius!!! ( it took me all year to learn how to use the last format of this page)-and I still don't know how to do the highlighted quote thingy!!!!
anyways...I agree that was an excellent ride!! It was great to see everyone, and those were some sweet stretches of road!!
Sue that was a nice picture you took! It looks very peacefull, we should have asked someone to take one of us as a group when we stopped for lunch....maybe next time....
If the weather co-operates (and I don't get called into work) I should be there Saturday morning....although the snow on the ground this morning really bums me out.....I hope we can all get in a few more rides before that white stuff comes...
hope to see everyone soon!

80% chance of rain.  Doesn't sound too much like fun on a motorcycle.
