2008 Sport Riders?
« on: March 28, 2008, 08:29:23 pm »
Hey guys,
I'm new here but wondering if you guys are planning any 2008 sport rides? I have a GS500f which isn't a supersport but it's nimble and decently fast enough (for me at least). I'm booked till early May, but would love to plan some trips for mid-May and later? Wouldn't mind getting a tour of some decent roads around here if you guys are puttering around some time.
Thanks!

Most of the people around here riding "sportingly" and a few of us do track days, too.  Pretty well any ride with me is going to include some twisty roads, if I have anything to say about it. :D

While you're waiting for the weather, a little video of some of my friends and I down in Tennessee:

Deal's Gap (Bagwell ride-behind & minute 9:30-on are the better parts):

Cherohala Skyway (about minute 11 one of the riders throws down :)):

Some nice stuff around minutes 6-8 as well on the second one, some really beautiful parts of the road.  600-2000 feet cliffs on the right hand side of most of that road, it's hard to tell that or just how steeply we're climbing or dropping sometimes (good example is start of the video, that driveway is probably at a 30 percent grade or steeper).
