Don't tell us anything that might incriminate.  Gloss over details carefully.  Who knows who might occassionally read this forum...

I am going through a big hassle myself from a ticket I got in TN on Friday.  Will have to relate it in person some time, it's a doozy.

Damn guys sorry to hear it.....A friend told me certain detachments are and will be targeting bikes this summer.
It is really taking the fun out of it.

Hey Shaman don't know if you are aware or not but if you get any kind of a ticket in the States you are not obligated to pay it....It cannot be linked to your Canadian drivers Licence.....But if you choose to not pay it the ticket will become a bench warrant for your arrest in the state that the offence occurred.

I'm aware of that.  The ticket I got is complex, it's not just a straight-out ticket.  I was speeding but the amount I'll keep private unless you ask me over coffee. :) 

Thing is, apparently the NCIC database in the states thinks I have a suspended license because of a DUI offense.  I don't.  CPIC says my record is clean (it is) but the end result is I had to get my bike out of impound and drive home to Canada at 2mph over the limit, being careful not to stand out or do anything outside the books.  Technically I wasn't supposed to have keys near a vehicle.

Great thing to find out when you're sitting in TN sun in full leathers for two hours and then watch them drive away with your bike for something that started out as a verbal warning.
