So What happened...
« on: October 16, 2009, 07:11:49 pm »
... to the bike shop on Bath Rd that was selling the Hyosungs bikes. Went out Bath Rd on my way home (usually take Sir John A) and I noticed there was some appliance store in there now. I know I'm out of touch, so I wouldn't be surprised if you told me this is old news, lol.

They decided to do customization only, is what I heard.  Couldn't sell Hyosungs or automatic bikes in any numbers.  I was interested in buying the property two years ago, but when I went in after Hamilton took it over, they had done a number of things to the property to make it less valuable... but jacked the price up $280,000.

IMHO, if they'd picked Piaggio, and/or KTM and/or Can-Am, they'd have done well.  Can-Am especially, since the closets dealership is in Napanee and their ATVs are considered to be among the best.

Now that would have been awesome! Actually get some "non generic" bikes available in K-town!
