Hi all,

I realize it's not biking season but I thought it'd be a good idea to start this thread anyway.  We all know intersections are dangerous but I know of one in particular that I'm going to be super careful going through come spring on the bike.  Princess and Alfred.  I go through there about 4 times a day and on average at least one of those times people run the red.  Usually from Princess street.  Almost got clipped there the other day.  Not paying as close attention as I should have been, silly me decided to go on a green and some old woman in a land yahcht blew through it and almost got me.  So if anyone else knows of a particular intersection that is exceptionally dangerous I'd like to know as I'm sure many of you would also.

Thanks!

PS  also any intersection in the Queen's area.  If its not a car blowing through a stop sign its a dimwitted student casually strolling to their death in front of you

Intersection going South towards Kingston on 38, only dangerous if you're trying to enter the 401 East.  The problem is that if you are at that intersection, there are two lanes of traffic coming at you and a lot of large vehicles (SUVs, Trucks, Vans) headed North to catch the 401 West.  So you look and see that you have time to enter the East Onramp, and find a speeding vehicle headed North in the right-hand lane bearing down on you as it passes the slower vehicle.

I almost was clipped by a cop doing at least 150km/h headed North with no lights or sirens on three years ago.  Very nearly rang my bell for the final time, I'd say no more than one second difference and it would have been a bad scene.
