Piaggio dealer in Kingston?
« on: March 07, 2010, 08:09:27 pm »
Anyone know something about the Piaggio/Vespa/Aprilia dealer opening up in downtown Kingston?  I don't know a thing about it, but I've heard several stories over the weekend whilst out on two wheels that there is a building downtown that has put out a shingle.

Somehow I doubt it...

I did see a store selling scooters that looked like Piaggio but were Chinese knockoffs.. Perhaps that is what was seen??

I dropped in and spoke with Jay today. This is a very small shop, focused mainly on the scooter lines from Vespa and Piaggio, although he does have Aprilia listed.

This is an offshoot from Source for Sports, he was the mechanic and held the certs for sales and service of the scooter lines. Mainly, he has the scooter line now.

He also has a full list of maintenance manuals, etc. that came with the dealership and can service just about anything. He didn't exactly say whether or not he could order motorcycles, but he certainly can order scooters. He is also doing bicycle work and proper skate sharpening (which, I've been told, is rare enough to warrant his investment.)  I did not ask him about Moto Guzzi but I imagine that he can source parts.

He seems like a straightforward guy and has a long history in motorcycle/scooter repair.
