My name is Steve
« on: February 03, 2005, 11:07:57 am »
But you can call me Shaman.  :)

I'm a (mostly sporting) rider living in the Kingston area since 1987, majority owner of three businesses with coverage of most of SouthEastern Ontario.

I have one bike presently, a 2003 GSX-R 1000 which I have gone to Deal's Gap on and ride very often throughout the riding season.  I've put about 12,500km per year on it so far.

My riding experience goes back to the late 1970s, where I rode offroad and competed in many events from 1982->1988 where I gave up riding for college and career.  As it turned out, it grated on me every day that I wasn't riding, so I got a bike in 2002 and found that I still had an aptitude for riding. And that brings us to the present day.

Good day Steve ,
Jack is my name and I usually go by the name Jackson or Jcsn for short.

I have been riding for many years and I can be seen riding either a black ( with  orange pinstripes )  Beemer or a silver Burgman with hard bags.

I usually ride alone or with  one other rider since I'm not too fond of group rides.

I wish you luck with this forum. It is simple to use and clear / easy to navigate. It will be nice to have a forum based out of Kingston.

 Jcsn

I haven't seen Guy out on the roads but I knew he was there!  Nice to meet you.

I'm averaging about 13,000km a year.  Not bad for a busy guy.  :-\

Actually Steve we have met a couple of times over the years.  The most recent was at my place in Deseronto last fall.  I was hosting a small car and bike show and shine when you dropped by on your way to the county.  I was with my buddy Les and his Ducati and Glenn had his Norton sidecar racing rig there as well.  See you on the road this spring......

Only 40 day's of winter to go.

Oh right!  I forgot all about that... that was a good time.  I went off to ride another 300km after that... all bundled up like the michelin man... :)

I have a truck AND a trailer.  I wouldn't ride to the Gap, either.

Having bikes rubbing together sounds like a bad idea. :)

However, mounting two wheel chocks on a board to put in my truck sounds like a good plan.
