An E-Mail Address @ Kingston Riders . Org!
« on: March 10, 2005, 09:43:32 pm »
Your fearless administration (that's me) has managed to cobble together a nice e-mail system for you here at kingstonriders.org.  Yes, that's right... you can be somebody@kingstonriders.org... and don't we all want to be somebody?

For a time, if you would like an e-mail address, you will need to Private Message the administrator (Shaman) to register your e-mail address, but over time there will be an automated facility once the security issues are worked out (can't have those spammers registering drop boxes for male enhancement mail bounces after all!)

When you PM Shaman ( http://www.kingstonriders.org/forum/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=1 ), please indicate your interest in an e-mail address and the following information:

E-mail Address Desired:   <something-here>@kingstonriders.org
Password Desired: <something-here>

Rough spots yet to be worked out but hopefully smoothed in the next few days:

- login doesn't yet fill in @kingstonriders.org by default
- login doesn't yet fill in @kingstonriders.org in the preferences by default

So, things you will need to do to use the e-mail at kingstonriders.org immediately in beta:

After sending me your request for an address, you will need to log into the e-mail interface using your *full* kingstonriders.org e-mail address.   Your userid alone will not do (at this time).   Then, you must fill in the basic information about the account and submit that information.

I'm hoping to automate all that in the near future but for the moment, if you want an address, it really isn't very difficult to do, and you can be using e-mail @kingstonriders.org.  The software is tried, tested and tortured, it's just the little niggles that I have to sort out.

Cheers... and let people know we're here!
