re-visiting riding.. finally
« on: June 15, 2005, 09:01:17 pm »
Hy all.. just getting back on a bike after too many years remembering.. So I picked up a DL650 V-Strom (Suzuki) and am in the process of breaking it in.

I figured this would be a good place to meet people who ride and hook up for a ride now and then.

Nice bike!  And nice to meet you.  I've been told again and again that the DL650 is one of those bikes that just has "something," and it's generally better liked than the 1000.  Much like it's more sporty brother, the SV.

Welcome to the forum.  We're talking about doing a "newbie" ride in the Rides section, possibly tomorrow night at the usual meeting spot.

Well I will say the 650 is really agile.. nice to flip around.. I'm lovin it. I've had it 'baout a week and a half.. put 1100 K on it already. Ran up around Calabogie last weekend. What a nice ride.. between rain storms. It sure won't take long to get real comfy on this thing.
