I had the new Harley Street Rod out on the weekend. It was a lot of fun. The motor was surprisingly smooth, and had some real snap between 4-6k rpm. I was impressed with the acceleration. The seat to foot peg distance was pretty tight, tighter that my R1's, but it handled really well. It's a tall bike, taller than the ZX12R. The suspension handled the bumps no problem at all. I could do some fun sport riding on that thing.
Yeah, the Street Rod looks a lot better to me than anything else in their line. I don't think I'd
want one really, but it does look like Harley hit the right target with that bike. Not sure about passenger accomodations, which would be important to me if I had that sort of bike.
The V-Rod wasn't for me at all, but the Street Rod looks like it has potential when I get a bit older and smarter.
