I've had all three kinds of fade on the track. :)

Vignette:  In the One Lap 2000 competition, I actually got my brakes so hot on the first day (at Gingerman raceway) that I warped a set of calipers and therefore was unable to use my trick racing brakes!  I had a brake fire, too, which more or less ruined a set of wheels (luckily, they were my spare wheels).  So the rest of the race, I had stock brakes... warped another set of calipers at Sebring and nearly lost the car into the wall when I was braking from about 240km/h and the nose started coming back up... that was scary... I swung the car sideways to stop and it worked, lucky me.   I got 21st overall and 6th in class (out of 118 entries), and went through 5 sets of brake pads and two sets of calipers... which has prompted many what-ifs on my part, since having a good set of brakes is "everything" to racing and I qualified 13th on stock brakes.   Guess I'll never know. :(
