Its finally starting, go see the action on SpeedTV starting: Tue, Mar 1 12:00PM
http://www.speedtv.com/programs/23/
The FIM World Superbike series is the premier road racing series for production based motorcycles and in recent years has become a worldwide phenomenon. With 14 races spanning the globe from Asia to Australia and Europe to the USA the series truly earns it’s world status. Unlike most other championships the World Superbike series consists of two points-paying races at each round, providing twice the racing action for fans, both at the track and on the tube. The rule structure requires production-based machinery.

The Verm is a star rider, he definitely brings the race with him.
I think he could ride a z50 and still place well... most consistent rider I've ever seen, even more consistent than Rossi (though not as fast, I think).

He sure has got talent (reminds me of myself in my previous life)
He is only 21 years old and when he makes the jump to MotoGP might just be the guy to give Rossi a good fight. There are some young Spaniards MototGP 125 and 250 that will be coming up the ranks to put pressure on Rossi as well.
