Lets meet up for Ride to Remember on Saturday May 27th
« on: May 23, 2006, 11:32:34 pm »
O.K. guys,

Lets meet up for the Ride to Remember demo rides in Picton.

I suggest we meet at Tim Horton's (across from Chapters) on Saturday May 27th at 7:30 AM

We should leave for 8:00 am and get to Picton the fastest way possible (avoiding 401 though), that way we can get on some demo rides before they book up.

After the demo rides we could all take a long detour home and make a ride out of it, maybe head downtown to a patio for some food .

Anyone interested in meeting up for the ride down please sign your name to this thread.
I'm in except if it looks like rain. Any chance of rain and I'm pretty much out  ::)

I'm going to ride that new gixxer 750 if it kills me.  That could be my next bike instead of another 1000...

I love the instantly usable torque of the 1000 but if the 750 is significantly nimbler, that would be even better. :)

This sucks. This is the first Saturday I have free and could ride, but due to planned events on Friday night, I'll most likely be wandering home at about 2 AM that morning. The 7:30 timing is WAY too early for this chap - especially in the condition I'll be in from the night before. I'll still have alcohol coursing thru my system till at least 9-ish or so, which is a no-no with my M2 license.

Looks like I'll have to pass on this ride :(

lol. Unfortunately not. I'm not usually much of a drinker or partier and I don't go out often, but this is an unusual weekend. Late band practice opn Friday night then going out with the boys (been planned for some time now). Then I'm playing a show at a private keg party on Saturday night. I'll be in even worse shape on Sunday than I will be on Saturday. lol

The forecast is looking great for the weekend.  Finally.

I will be able to play until 8:00 pm then I have to check out. Still lots of time to go to a patio for some munchies after the ride.  8)

Hi Snerchie,

We are going to Picton "ride to remember" that Saturday morning and then "Ride for Dad" (fundraiser... on Sunday.

So hope you can make it to both.

My band's drummer's girlfriend is having her birthday party at their house on Battersea Road. His other band is playing, and they figured we might as well play too (since both bands share 3 members in common lol ). We're gonna suck (haven't practiced in a while), but it's going to be fun anyway. Nothing serious going down here. Just a whole lotta fun :)
